STUDYSTACK WEBSITE

MY ROLES

I was originally hired to redesign a mock up website in Photoshop for Studystack. This is actually one of my favourite things to do. The main problem they were facing is that their bounce rate was pretty high, meaning that users would exit the site without even leaving the homepage. I put this down to the outdated design and bad user experience. I immediately came up with some changes we could make to ensure that the site would be more modern and user friendly.

After spending plenty of time planning and sketching out wireframes, they were satisfied and ready for me to start the final design. I designed the mock up in Photoshop based on my plans and wireframes making sure that it was fitting the criteria given to me. I also ensured that my designs were suitable for scaling and adjusting position for a responsive, mobile-friendly layout.

They were very pleased with the mock up that I designed, so then offered me the job of coding the website. This included writing HTML, CSS and JQuery.

This project was a pleasure to be a part of, I really felt like my abilities were used to a good advantage. I would definitely do more work for Studystack in the future if the opportunity came along.
