DISTRICT 23 INTERVIEW
< BACKMY ROLES
After making District 23: Aperture, Josh and I decided to play about with interview style filming. We thought this could be a good thing to practice for the future. Shortly after playing about with camera positioning, lighting and set dressing, we got excited by making a mock interview with the creators of District 23.
After throwing a few ideas about, we decided to compose a script with a few key points that we wanted to cover. The approach we were going for was the comedy/skit style. We basically wanted to promote our film a little bit, while making fun of ourselves playing self-obsessed characters.
Josh and I mainly played the same roles on this piece as we both were operating the camera and sound as the other was acting. However, Josh was responsible for the lighting setup, he had a particular look that he wanted to achieve. I played more of a director’s role on this as I had a particular way that I wanted the end product to look.
